Chelmsford and Essex Agricultural Society The Chelmsford and Esex Agricultural Society held a livestock show in 1837 featuring prize cows, pigs and sheep. The results were recorded in the Farmers Magazine. 1837 Competition held in a field at Duke Street, Chlemsford Winners from Eastern Essex included C Comyns Parker from Woodham Mortimer James Malden from Dengie Hall William Gale from Fambridge Hall William Page from Burnham Charles page from Southminster William Clark from Norton hall Recorded as buying livestock were Mr Cracknell from Steeple Mr Macsll from Tillingham Mr Croxon from Purleigh
