Trustees of Southminster National School in 1820
On 4 January 1820 a group of influential local men gathered and set up a trust fund to support the fledgling national school that had opened in Southminster
The man set a subscription of £500 pa to ensure the future of the school.
At this time it is recorded that 150 boys and 130 girls attended the school.
